Microsoft Windows Vista
I have noticed that many people have had trouble burning the Vista .iso image to DVD, so I approached this task with some anxiety. Since it worked perfectly for me (twice) I thought I would report how I did it.
..iso details:
Download of MSDN July06 CTP, both x86 and x64 versions (about 3GB each)Checked the SH-1 hashes using free program HashCalc - both were good.
Burn details:
Host platform: Windows 2000 SP4Burner: NEC 3550A Dual 16x DVD+RW/-RW/CD-RW (48x/32x/48x),16x DVDBurn software: BurnCdcc (free)Media: Maxell single layer 16x DVD+R
Because the download was on a different machine from the burner, I actually did the burn over the network. I also let BurnCdcc choose the burn speed, and set it to ReadVerify and Finalize. I don't know what speed was actually used, but each burn took about 20 minutes, including the verification.
Both images installed without problems.
